We are a family run soft furnishing and floor care company established in 2001, in simple terms we clean Carpets, Upholstery, Leather furniture, Rugs and Hard Floors in domestic and occasional commercial properties throughout Bedfordshire and North Herts.

What does a Home Sales Consultant role involve?
You will visit customers’ homes, all pre qualified, no cold calling, to look at their requirements and prepare an on-site quotation. During each visit you will be the face of the company, it is therefore important that you present yourself in a professional and friendly way.
While in the home you will be expected to advise the customer about our services, answer customers questions and sell high end cleaning and restoration services, close the sale and collect a deposit, all in a nice, non-salesy and very friendly way, maybe having a cup of tea and a biscuit with them too.
Depending on the type of service the customer is looking for, there may be some measurements to take which will involve some bending and stretching, there will also be a need to fill in some quotation forms by hand and take some photos, so you will need legible handwriting and a steady hand.
You will also be calling customers over the phone from our office, so a good telephone manner is essential.
There will be the opportunity to build relationships with local retailers who recommend us to keep us in there mind, have a chat and provide them with biscuits, cake or fruit for a treat..
This role is open to FULL TIME and PART TIME applications as we are willing to be flexible for the right candidate.
What are we looking for from you?
- At least 2 years sales experience working in a B2C sales environment – Not in a bar or over a shop counter
- Achievement orientated
- Excellent communication and people skills – both face to face and over the telephone.
- You’re driven – making the calls to make the magic happen is never been a problem to you
- You’re highly organised.
- You enjoy meeting people.
- Some Patience – We have a lot of ‘mature’ age clients, they like a chat…
- You love nothing more than turning a prospect into a customer.
- Ability to use your own initiative – there are times you must think on your feet.
- Great Customer service skills.
- You have a knack at memorising product information and can match the right product to the right customer.
- Full clean driving license – Essential
- You have superb written and oral communication skills in English.
- Competent in word & excel and basic computer skills.
What are we NOT looking for?
- Someone who’s only sales experience is working in a bar or behind a shop counter
- Someone who hasn’t read the above criteria – if you cannot do the simple things…
We will provide you with all the training you need to become a successful Home Sales Consultant, you will learn all about our services, go out on jobs to see what and how we do them and you will be shown how to use our CRM and quote programme.
This role is open to Full time or Part Time position as we are willing to be flexible for the right person…
