6 – Change up the Scent
Oranges, juniper berries, cinnamon, vanilla and rosehip make great autumn smells. Use candles, potpourri or diffusers to make your home smell amazing and cosy.
7 – Get some new cushions and throws
Adding some new cushions or throws to your sofas can really transform the room ready for the new season. Having cosy throws will also be perfect for snuggling up on colder evenings.
You can also tie it all in with your festive colour scheme!
8 – Check your drains!
With autumn guaranteed to be wet and windy a lot of the time it’s worth you should making sure that rainwater downspouts are clear of obstructions and direct water away from foundations, walkways, and driveways.
9 – Sort out your Movie/box set selection
With most people spending a lot longer inside in the evenings, it’s worth sorting out your favourite movies, Netflix series or box sets ready for a few movie marathons! What better to do on a cold and raining evening.
